Welcome to Sportonomics, your ultimate source for the latest and most comprehensive coverage of the sports business world. I'm Will Karpf, a current high school student interested in gaining insight into the sports business world. I have used this platform to learn about the industry and help others to do the same. I am dedicated to bringing you breaking news, analysis, and exclusive interviews that go into the intersection of sports and business, or as I call it "Sportonomics."

Whether it's through a TV or at Madison Square Garden, I have always loved watching, playing, and learning about sports. I've been especially fascinated by the financial business scene around sports like Baseball and Hockey (and more recently Football) that've been kept more so out of the spotlight. I try to utilize my passions at school by writing for sports and business publications and learning new things about business and finance at student-led seminars. Yet, there wasn't a place for merging sports and business. So, I went to a Sports Management program at the School of The New York Times, and I've become enveloped in the sports business scene ever since. 

I created Sportonomics to further explore the sports business world, continue my learning on the subject, keep others interested in the sports business world informed, and provide a space to explore the industry. As I continue my writing and analysis, I aim to improve my writing skills while improving my research and analysis skills on the industry's business side. My hope is for this blog to also provide a space for people to learn more about this subject who might not have explored it already, but might be interested in sports or business. Now, you can see both as one!
